Join us at Arundel Town Hall for our monthly cinema night in association with Cinemobile.

The film starts at 7.30pm with an interval halfway through when the bar will also be open.

This month we are showing the critically acclaimed "Firebrand": "Henry VIII had six wives. One survived."

"Katherine Parr, the sixth wife of King Henry VIII (Jude Law), is appointed regent while the tyrant wages war abroad. Upon his return, increasingly ill and paranoid, Henry forces Katherine to fight for her survival.

One woman survived the dangerous reign of Henry VIII: Katherine Parr (Alicia Vikander). Director Karim Aïnouz brings her story to life in this period drama, adapted from Elizabeth Fremantle's 2013 novel *Queen’s Gambit*. Parr, a strong and dedicated woman, honed her writing and advanced her modern religious views as regent. But her pursuit of tolerance becomes perilous when she befriends Anne Askew (Erin Doherty), a Protestant radical calling for Henry’s overthrow—a treasonous offense that could lead to her death. This intense survival story showcases Vikander’s quiet yet powerful performance, while Law vividly portrays the decaying king.

Tickets from cinemobile.com/tickets or from the Town Hall weekday mornings 9am-1pm. See you there!
